Daddy and the Trump Whisperer

Around the Map episode 33: Iran-Israel ceasefire; NATO summit; DRC-Rwanda diplomacy

In this episode we note President Trump’s F-bomb-dropping reaction to ceasefire violations typical of the Middle East, and discuss the preliminary, low-confidence intelligence report that was leaked to muddy the water on what was apparently a very effective series of strikes. Next we discuss the postponed French-Saudi push for a two-state solution, and the reported discussion between the US and Israel about ending the war in Gaza with Arab state jointly governing the enclave, along with an expansion of the Abraham Accords and steps toward a settlement in the West Bank. Will these ambitious plans work, or end in violence like past efforts? Judeofascist terror attacks in the West Bank are mentioned, and I explain to Grant what “shanda fur die goyim” means. Next we move on to the NATO summit, where Secretary General Mark Rutte lived up to his Trump whisperer reputation and flattered the president as member states unanimously agreed to raise defense budgets to 5% of GDP in the next decade. Finally, Grant previews the upcoming DRC-Rwanda peace deal.
